1-on-1 counseling

1-on-1 counselig for new moms.
You deserve support. Real support.
You’ve probably thought it many times: “Is it strange that I feel this way? Why does it seem so easy for everyone else?”
Maybe your birth didn’t go the way you had hoped. Maybe you miss having a warm, safe space where you are seen — not just as a mother, but as a woman.
The early postpartum days are over, but you still feel lost, exhausted, or simply… alone.
It’s not your fault. We were never meant to do this alone.
"A mother is born on the same day as her child."
Do you recognize this?
You…
- … feel overwhelmed since giving birth.
- … miss having someone who truly listens — without judgment.
-
… find it hard to make space for yourself.
-
… often feel tired, emotional, or anxious without fully understanding why.
-
… long for rest, connection, and a safe place to just be.

Imagine if …
- … you could share your story without holding back or minimizing yourself.
-
… someone helped you pick up the pieces in a way that feels true to you.
-
… you could look back on your birth and early postpartum with softness instead of heaviness.
-
… you felt rested, grounded, and fully you again.
It’s possible. And you don’t have to do this alone.
Who is this 1-on-1 support for?

-
recently gave birth and feel overwhelmed
-

How it works
We start with a free connection call (20 min), via Zoom, no strings attached. We’ll explore what you need and whether we’re a good match. You fill in a few questions so I can tailor the sessions to your needs and experience. Then we start your journey. We schedule our first session and create a safe space for you. After the sessions, we end our journey together and reflect on everything you’ve uncoverd, processed and rebuilt.

What you can expect from me
My guidance is warm, gentle, and rooted in knowledge of perinatal mental health. We always start with your story — because you deserve to be deeply heard.
From there, I support you in integrating your experience, making space for yourself, and reconnecting with your own strength. All at your own pace.
Each session is completely tailored to you.
Where helpful, I’ll offer self-care tools, journaling prompts, or practical exercises — whatever best supports your journey.
What others thought
“Tessa helped me truly process my postpartum experience. I felt heard, seen, and so much stronger after each session — like I was allowed to exist again, both as a mother and as a woman.”
“I wasn’t sure, if this was something for me – this online form of counseling. It felt like such a luxurious expense.. Oh my, I’m so glad I did. It’s an investment for sure, but the worth you get.. It’s priceless when someone has your back completely and is with you on every insecure step of the way in early motherhood. It felt like such a gift to have Tessa as a sparring partner.”
“I felt safe right away. My deepest insecurities surfaced so quickly. I’m impressed by how you can create such an atmosphere, even online. The session gave me such a deeper level of understanding and support I could ever receive from my friends. I wish every mom had a Tessa!
Let me introduce myself
Hi, I’m Tessa — mama of two wonderful daughters. In my work as a researcher in mental health and pregnancy, I saw just how little (social) support many mothers receive. As a result, during my second pregnancy, I felt a deep calling to help change that. I retrained as a perinatal coach — a coach specifically trained to support women during pregnancy and early motherhood — and started my own practice to follow my dream of helping (expecting) mothers feel truly supported.
That dream also came from my own experience with motherhood. After the birth of my first daughter, I often felt lonely and constantly pushed past my own limits. I was chasing the idea of being a “perfect mom” — an impossible standard — and completely lost sight of myself. Thankfully, over time, with the help of others, I learned to choose myself again. During my second postpartum experience, I applied everything I had learned. And you know what..? It can all feel so much softer, lighter, and more joyful.
In my work, I continue to see the gaps where mothers are still not being met with the support they deserve. It moves me how often women feel overwhelmed, unheard, or alone in this season of life. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to fill those gaps — offering practical tools, emotional nourishment, grounded knowledge, and the trust that you really can find your own way.
In my 1-on-1 counseling, you’re centered completely. Your feelings, your experiences are valid, deserving of being heard and held. You are so welcome!

FAQ
Do I need to have gone through something 'serious' to seek support?
Absolutely not. You don’t need to be “struggling enough” to deserve care.
Whatever you’re feeling matters — and you deserve to be supported.
Disclaimer: I’m not a therapist or psychologist. If I feel you need more support than I can offer, I’ll refer you to someone more specialised.
I'm not pregnant (yet), is this still for me?
Yes, definately. I also support moms in preparing their postpartum period, fertility trajectories, miscarrige, gender disappointment, donor parents etc. Feel free to book your free connect call!
Is this also for mothers whose baby was born a while ago?
Yes! Whether your baby is 3 months or 3 years old – you are completely welcome. You can still benefit from the right support.
When is payment required?
The connect call is free. If you then choose to start your journey with me, you pay in advance before the first session. And, if you want to pay in installments, you pay your first installment before the first session.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, that’s no problem at all. We can discuss this in the connect call.
What if reaching out feels scary?
That’s completely normal. That’s why we start with a free, no-pressure conversation — just genuine connection
And please, if you hesitate, but are already searching for support, you probably could benefit from support. You deserve this, truely!!
